Capeverdean singer Lura is now officially part of the lineup at the 10th edition of Au Fils de Voix music festival in France, Sodade has learned.
Dubbed “The Meeting of Great Voices of the World in Paris,” the festival promises to bring top-notch artists from varying parts of the globe to the prestigious L’Alhambra. Lura will replace singer-songwriter Sara Tavares, who was originally scheduled to represent Cape Verde with a performance on Feb. 5th.
Also scheduled to take the stage are Blick Bassy (Cameroon), Bonga (Angola) on Feb. 3rd, Deolinda (Portugal), Giorgos Xylouris (Crete, Greece), Yasmin Levy (Israel) on Feb. 6th, Madagascar All Stars (Madagascar), David Sicard (La Reunion) on Feb. 11th, Vicente Pradal, Esperanza Fernandez (Spain) on Feb. 12th, La Chicaga, Noche Tango (Argentine) on Feb 13th.
Au Fils de Voix seeks to feature remarkable artists of the previous year for the high-quality of their new repertoires, and who meet the standards of artistic particularity, contemporary innovation and creation.
