They say great songs last forever. Ok, so maybe we heard it in a movie. But there is no denying that music of any kind, style or sound has the potential to last beyond our imagination, reminding us again and again that it is not meant to be confined to one specific audience. We (SODADE) wouldn’t be on this great adventure if we didn’t believe so.
Music, especially when it is shared is limitless, infinite and cannot be put away in a box, er, list.
There are songs that teach us to love ourselves, which is something we learn continuously, and often what gives us the strength to bounce back from anything an infinite number of times better, smarter, stronger, and more beautiful than ever. Through music there is always someone, somewhere, who loves all the same unseen things about ourselves, and maybe some other characteristics we have no idea live within.
Some songs remind us to love all that we share life with: the moon, the sun, the ocean, animals, flowers, nature and its splendor, relatives, friends, friends’ families, friends’ friends. Isn’t love in some ways all about reciprocity? That’s why we think it’s only fair to acknowledge our feelings for remarkable love songs of our time—like all great things, they beg to be shared.
As you would imagine, we heart more songs than we actually know. But in the spirit of the new month of Love (February), we’ve selected just 14 love songs (because we had to narrow this down in some way) for you (readers!) that have the potential to blow the mind of anyone in touch with the sensitivity within.
The following songs (listed in no particular order) have been recorded by some powerhouse vocalists, showcasing a great combination of unique splendid instrumentation, and impeccable, melt-our-hearts lyrics. But most of all, they speak for themselves. Just listen!
